I started Invisalign 4 months ago with Dr Lia and I’m already seeing results. From the moment I came into the practice I felt welcomed and I still feel this way.
I highly recommend the practice!

What it can treat
Common problems Invisalign can fix
Invisalign can straighten most of the problems we see every day. At your consultation Dr Lia will tell you honestly whether it suits your teeth.
Crowded teeth
Overlapping or twisted teeth are harder to clean. Aligners gradually make space and bring them into line.
Gaps between teeth
The spaces you notice in photos can be closed gently, for a more even smile and a more stable bite.
Overbite
When the upper front teeth overlap the lower ones too much, aligners can guide them into a healthier position.
Crossbite
Upper and lower teeth that don’t meet properly wear unevenly. Correcting it takes strain off your jaw.
Open bite
If your front teeth don’t meet when you close, aligners can bring them together, helping chewing and speech.
A foundation for your smile
Straight teeth are the perfect base for porcelain veneers or composite bonding. Aligning your teeth first often means fewer veneers, less bonding and less work on your natural teeth.

Your Invisalign journey
Free consultation
Dr Lia examines your teeth, asks what you’d like to change and takes a 3D scan with our iTero scanner, so there are no messy impressions. You’ll see a simulation of your new smile. The consultation is free: we take a £50 deposit when you book and refund it when you attend.
Your treatment plan
Dr Lia plans every tooth movement digitally. You see a preview of the finished result, the timeline and the cost before you decide anything.
Wearing your aligners
You wear each set for 20 to 22 hours a day and move to the next one every week or two. We see you every 6 to 8 weeks to check progress and give you your next aligners.
Refinements
Towards the end, Dr Lia fine-tunes the result with extra aligners if needed, until you’re genuinely happy with your smile.
Keeping your smile
Retainers at night keep your teeth where they are. Your first Essix retainers are included.

Your Invisalign dentist
Dr Lia Melconian
Invisalign at Pearly Whites is led by Dr Lia Melconian, our Founder and Principal Dentist, who has a special interest in orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry. She is certified in Invisalign Go and Invisalign Comprehensive and has treated hundreds of Invisalign cases: adults, teenagers with Invisalign Teen, and children with Invisalign First and the Invisalign Palatal Expander.
She plans every case herself and, if you’d also like whitening or bonding, plans it all together so the finished smile works as a whole. Many of her Invisalign patients were nervous about the dentist when they first came in, and she is known for taking the time to put people at ease.

What our patients say
Nervous about the dentist?
You’re welcome here
Plenty of our Invisalign patients hadn’t been to a dentist in years. Dr Lia is known for putting anxious patients at ease: she listens, explains everything before she does it, and goes at your pace.
Invisalign itself is gentle. There are no drills or injections, just a quick scan and aligners that feel like mild pressure for a day or two with each new set.

FAQ
Invisalign questions
How much does Invisalign cost in Fulham?
At Pearly Whites, Invisalign for adults costs £2,995–£4,450 for both arches, or £2,495–£3,495 for a single arch, including whitening gels and retainers. Invisalign Teen is from £4,495, and Invisalign First for children from £2,995. 0% finance is available over up to 12 months (from £249.58 a month), with longer terms of up to 60 months available with interest.
Is the Invisalign consultation free?
Yes. Your Invisalign consultation with Dr Lia is free, including a 3D scan and a preview of your new smile. We take a £50 deposit when you book, which is refunded when you attend.
How long does Invisalign take?
Most patients finish in 6 to 18 months. Simple cases can take as little as 4 to 6 months, and more complex ones up to 24 months. You’ll get a realistic timeframe for your own teeth at your consultation.
Is Invisalign suitable for my teeth, or just for minor cases?
Invisalign can treat most common problems, including crowding, gaps, overbites and crossbites, but not every case. Dr Lia will assess your teeth, bite and gums and tell you honestly whether it’s the right option.
Does Invisalign hurt?
You’ll feel some pressure when you switch to a new set of aligners, which is normal and means they’re working. Most patients describe it as mild discomfort rather than pain, and it usually eases within a day or two.
How often will I need appointments?
Usually every 6 to 8 weeks, for a quick check-up of around 15 minutes. We offer early morning and evening appointments to fit around work.
Can I eat and drink with Invisalign?
Yes. You take your aligners out to eat and to drink anything other than water, so there are no foods to avoid. Brush your teeth before putting them back in.
Will people notice I’m wearing aligners?
Very rarely. The aligners are clear and fit closely to your teeth, so most people won’t notice unless you tell them.
Will Invisalign affect my speech?
You may notice a slight lisp for the first day or two while you get used to the aligners. It goes away quickly.
Am I too old for Invisalign?
No. Invisalign works at any age as long as your teeth and gums are healthy. Many of our patients are in their 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond.
Can children and teenagers have Invisalign?
Yes. Dr Lia treats teenagers with Invisalign Teen, and younger children with Invisalign First and the Invisalign Palatal Expander. She will advise whether starting now or waiting is better for your child.
Do I need retainers after Invisalign?
Yes. Retainers worn at night stop your teeth drifting back. Your first Essix retainers are included in the price.
Can I have veneers or bonding after Invisalign?
Yes, and Invisalign is a great foundation for them. With your teeth in the right position first, porcelain veneers or composite bonding often need less preparation and fewer teeth, for a more natural, longer-lasting result.
