Is there interest-free finance?

Yes. Treatment of £500 or more can be spread over up to 12 months at 0% interest, so you pay back exactly the cost of your treatment.

Check-ups and hygiene

How often should I have a check-up?

Usually every six to twelve months. Your dentist will recommend how often based on your teeth, your gums and your risk of problems, rather than a fixed timetable.

Dental check-ups →

What’s included in a check-up?

A check of your jaw, neck, gums, teeth and bite, oral cancer screening, close-up photos and any X-rays you need, and, when it’s useful, a 3D scan (not at every visit). Then we go through everything with you on screen and agree a plan.

How much does a hygienist appointment cost in Fulham?

At Pearly Whites, a 30-minute Guided Biofilm Therapy clean with AIRFLOW is £129, and a scale and polish is £97. Your first hygiene visit as a new patient is £97 with a free upgrade to GBT and AIRFLOW. GBT hygiene is included in PearlyPlan membership.

Dental hygiene →

Do I really need to see a hygienist if I brush well?

Yes, for most people. Plaque hardens into tartar in places a toothbrush can’t reach, especially below the gum line. Regular professional cleans remove it before it causes gum disease, decay or bone loss.

Dental hygiene →

What is Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT)?

GBT is a cleaning method developed by EMS in Switzerland. AIRFLOW uses warm water, air and an ultra-fine powder to remove biofilm, stains and early tartar, and a fine ultrasonic tip removes any stubborn tartar left. It is gentler than a traditional scale and polish and particularly good around implants, veneers and braces.

Emergencies

How quickly can I be seen?

We see emergencies the same or the next working day. Call us on 020 7381 4455 or book online, and we’ll find you the earliest appointment we can.

Emergency dentist →

How much is an emergency appointment?

An emergency appointment is £99. It includes the examination and diagnosis, routine X-rays and a prescription if you need one. Any treatment on the day is quoted before we start.

Emergency dentist →

I’m not registered with you. Can I still be seen?

Yes. You don’t need to be a patient of ours to book an emergency appointment.

Emergency dentist →

What should I do if you’re closed?

You can still book online for the next available appointment. For urgent advice in the meantime, call NHS 111 or visit 111.nhs.uk. If swelling is affecting your breathing or swallowing, or bleeding won’t stop, go to A&E or call 999.

Emergency dentist →

What should I do if I knock out a tooth?

Hold it by the crown, not the root, rinse it briefly in milk (not water) if it’s dirty, and push it back into the socket if you can. If not, keep it in milk or in your cheek and call us straight away: the sooner it’s put back, the better its chances. Don’t put a baby tooth back.
