Treatments
What your smile makeover might include
Every smile is different, so we only recommend what you need. Your plan might combine some of these.
Healthy foundations
Treating any decay or gum problems first, with hygiene visits to keep your gums healthy, so your new smile lasts.
Dental hygiene →Invisalign
Straightening your teeth first often means less, or no, work on them afterwards.
Invisalign →Teeth whitening
Enlighten whitening, guaranteed to reach B1, the lightest natural shade. Done before bonding or veneers, so they match.
Teeth whitening →Composite bonding
Closing gaps and repairing chips or uneven edges, usually in one visit, with composite veneers for bigger changes.
Composite bonding →Porcelain veneers
e.max veneers handcrafted by Corus Tusk in Marylebone, for a long-lasting change to shape and colour.
Porcelain veneers →ICON white-spot treatment
Makes white spots on the enamel fade into the rest of the tooth, with no drilling.
Gum contouring
Gently reshaping an uneven or “gummy” gum line, so your teeth look in proportion when you smile.
Crowns and old work
Replacing old, dark or mismatched crowns and fillings with natural-looking ones that blend with your new smile.
Missing teeth
Filling gaps with dental implants, bridges or dentures, so your smile is complete.
Dental implants →The right order
Why the order matters
Doing things in the right order gives you a better result, often with less treatment. Your plan is tailored to you, but a typical makeover follows these steps.
Healthy foundations
Any decay or gum problems are treated first, because cosmetic work only lasts on healthy teeth and gums.
Straighten
Invisalign moves your teeth into the right place first, which can mean fewer veneers or less bonding later, and less work on your natural teeth.
Whiten
Composite and porcelain don’t change colour, so we whiten first and match everything to your new, brighter shade.
Restore and replace
Old crowns and fillings are replaced, and any missing teeth are planned in, so everything works and looks right together.
Refine
Bonding, porcelain veneers, ICON and gum contouring perfect the shape, symmetry and colour of your smile.
Protect
Retainers keep your teeth straight, a night guard protects your work if you grind, and regular hygiene visits keep it all looking its best.
See it first
Preview your new smile before you commit
At your consultation we take photos and a 3D scan of your teeth, and if straightening is part of your plan, we can show you an Invisalign simulation of how your teeth would move.
For a full picture, an optional digital smile design (an additional fee) shows your new smile on screen before any treatment starts. Depending on your plan, we can also try a mock-up on your own teeth, so you can see and feel the result and ask for changes.

Questions
Smile makeover FAQs
What is a smile makeover?
A plan that brings together the treatments your smile needs, such as Invisalign, whitening, bonding or veneers, in the right order, so they work together for a natural, balanced result.
How much does a smile makeover cost?
It depends on the treatments involved. After your £50 consultation (put towards your treatment), you’ll get a written plan with the cost of each stage. You can phase treatment, and spread the cost with 0% finance or save with PearlyPlan.
What happens at the consultation?
We talk about what you’d like to change, take photos and a 3D scan, show you an Invisalign simulation if straightening would help, and give you a written treatment plan with your options, their order and costs.
Can I see my new smile before I start?
Yes. An optional digital smile design (an additional fee) shows your new smile on screen, and depending on your plan we can try a mock-up on your own teeth.
Do I need veneers?
Not necessarily. Many smiles are transformed with Invisalign, whitening and bonding alone. We’ll only recommend veneers if they’re the best option for you.
Why straighten my teeth first?
Moving teeth into the right position first often means less bonding or fewer veneers afterwards, and less work on your natural teeth.
Why whiten before bonding or veneers?
Composite and porcelain don’t change colour with whitening, so we whiten first and match them to your new shade.
How long does a smile makeover take?
From a few weeks for whitening and bonding, to around a year or more if Invisalign or implants are involved. Your plan will give you a timeline.
Will it look natural?
That’s the whole point. We design your smile around your face and your natural teeth, so people notice you look great, not that you’ve had work done.
Can I spread the cost?
Yes. You can phase your treatment, and either use 0% finance or, as a PearlyPlan member, save on most treatments (the two can’t be combined). Some dental insurance policies may contribute too.
How do I keep my new smile looking its best?
Wear your retainers, use a night guard if you grind, and keep up your check-ups and hygiene visits. Bonding also benefits from maintenance appointments.
