New patient offers

New to Pearly Whites? Two first-visit offers

Comprehensive exam, £49 (usually £79). Your first check-up, including routine X-rays, close-up photos and a clear plan for your teeth. This special offer is for your first visit only.

First hygiene visit, £97, including a complimentary upgrade to a full Guided Biofilm Therapy clean with AIRFLOW (usually £129). A gentler, more thorough clean, and a great way to start with healthy gums.

A digital-first practice

Unlike any check-up you’ve had before

Instead of messy putty impressions, we use a 3D scanner that builds a complete digital model of your mouth in about five minutes. It’s quick and comfortable, and comparing one scan with the next shows even small changes in your teeth and gums. You won’t need a scan at every visit: your dentist will suggest one when it’s useful.

Your X-rays are analysed with the help of AI (powered by Overjet), which can pick up things even a well-trained eye might miss, and gives objective measurements of your bone levels and tooth health. It shows its findings as a colour overlay on your own X-ray, outlining any decay and marking your bone levels, so instead of squinting at a grey image you can see exactly what your dentist is talking about.

Your dentist still makes every decision with you: the AI is a second pair of eyes, so your advice is based on evidence, not just opinion.

What we check

What we look at, and why it matters to you

Head, neck and jaw

We check the muscles and joints of your jaw (the TMJ) and the glands in your neck. It helps us spot jaw strain, clicking or signs of infection early, before they cause you pain.

Oral cancer screening

A careful look at your lips, cheeks, tongue, gums and throat. Most changes are harmless, but finding anything unusual early makes all the difference.

Gum health

A gentle check of the gaps around each tooth, called a BPE, scores how healthy your gums are. Gum disease is usually painless at first, so this is how we catch it early.

Your teeth

We check every tooth for decay, cracks and worn or failing fillings, so small problems can be fixed simply, with less treatment.

Your bite

We look at how your teeth meet and for wear that shows grinding or clenching, often at night. Spotting it early means we can protect your teeth before they chip or wear down.

Teeth grinding →

X-rays

Small X-rays show what we can’t see with the eye, such as decay between teeth and your bone levels. We only take them when they’re clinically needed.

Seeing is believing

You’ll see what we see

Throughout your check-up we take close-up photos inside your mouth with a small camera. Our motto is “seeing is believing”: rather than just telling you that a filling is cracked or a gum is inflamed, we show you on screen, so you understand exactly what’s going on.

Your dentist may also take photos of your smile with a professional camera and, when it’s useful, a 3D iTero scan. They give you a record to compare against in future, so you can see for yourself how your teeth and gums are doing.

Your appointment

How your check-up works

  1. We listen

We start with how your teeth feel, anything that’s worrying you and what you’d like from your smile.

  2. A thorough exam

Your dentist checks your jaw, gums, teeth and bite, and screens for oral cancer.

  3. X-rays, photos and a scan

We take any X-rays you need, close-up photos and, where helpful, a 3D scan.

  4. Look together

We sit together and go through everything on screen: what’s healthy, what needs attention and what your options are.

  5. Your plan

You leave with a clear plan and costs for any treatment, and we agree when you should come back.

Minimally invasive dentistry

Keeping as much of your natural tooth as possible

If a tooth does need attention, our principle is simple: do as little as possible, as early as possible, with modern materials that work with your teeth.

Questions

Dental check-up FAQs

How often should I have a check-up?

Usually every six to twelve months. Your dentist will recommend how often based on your teeth, your gums and your risk of problems, rather than a fixed timetable.

What’s included in a check-up?

A check of your jaw, neck, gums, teeth and bite, oral cancer screening, close-up photos and any X-rays you need, and, when it’s useful, a 3D scan (not at every visit). Then we go through everything with you on screen and agree a plan.

How much is a check-up?

Your first visit is a comprehensive new patient exam for £49, a special first-visit offer (usually £79), including routine X-rays. For existing patients, a recall exam is £79. PearlyPlan members have two exams a year included.

Do I need X-rays every time?

No. We only take X-rays when they’re clinically needed, depending on your teeth and how long it’s been since your last ones.

What does the AI do?

It analyses your X-rays and shows a colour overlay on them, outlining any decay and marking your bone levels with measurements, so you can see for yourself what your dentist sees. It doesn’t replace your dentist, who reviews everything and makes every decision with you.

What is a BPE?

A Basic Periodontal Examination: a quick, gentle check of the small gaps between your gums and teeth, which tells us how healthy your gums are and whether you need extra care.

Is the 3D scan uncomfortable?

No. There’s no putty: a small wand builds a 3D model of your mouth on screen in about five minutes. You won’t need one at every visit.

Can Biodentine help me avoid a root canal?

Often, yes. For deep decay close to the nerve, Biodentine helps the tooth protect and repair itself, and in clinical studies around 8 to 9 in 10 teeth treated this way stayed healthy with no need for root canal treatment. If the nerve is already badly inflamed or infected, root canal treatment may still be the best option. With a white filling, it’s a fraction of the cost of root canal treatment plus a crown.

Will I be told if I need treatment?

Yes. We show you what we’ve found, explain your options and the costs, and you decide. Nothing is booked until you’re ready.

Can I bring my children?

Yes, and you can come in together. We see children from their first tooth, whether or not mum or dad is a patient. Children under 18 can be seen on the NHS, free of charge, from 10am to 4pm on weekdays.

I was a patient at Perfect Smile Fulham. Do you have my records?

Yes. The practice was previously known as Perfect Smile Fulham, and we have your records, so you’re welcome to continue your care with us.
