Enlighten whitening
Guaranteed B1, whatever your lifestyle
Dentists match tooth colour against a shade guide, and B1 is the lightest natural shade on it. Enlighten guarantees your teeth will reach B1, even if you love coffee, tea or red wine, or you smoke.
Your Enlighten treatment includes three weeks of whitening. In the rare case that you haven’t reached B1 after three weeks, additional gels are complimentary, as part of the B1 guarantee.
Enlighten is also specially formulated to keep sensitivity to a minimum, so it’s a good choice if your teeth are sensitive or other whitening has been uncomfortable. And because it whitens so thoroughly, your brighter smile lasts, with an occasional top-up.
How it works
Your Enlighten whitening, step by step
Consultation
We check your teeth and gums are healthy and whitening is right for you, and record your starting shade. The £50 consultation fee comes off your whitening if you go ahead.
Your custom trays
We make whitening trays shaped exactly to your teeth, so the gel stays where it should and away from your gums.
Whiten at home
You wear your trays with Enlighten gel at home, following the plan your dentist gives you. Your treatment includes three weeks of whitening, and we’ll show you exactly what to do at the start.
Reach B1
We check your new shade with you. If you’re not at B1 after three weeks, additional gels are complimentary. To keep your shade, top up for a few nights after each hygiene clean.
Boutique whitening
Also available: Boutique whitening
Boutique is our other professional home whitening kit, at a lower price: custom-made trays and three whitening gels, with a choice of day or night gels to suit your routine. It’s available at a cost of £425.
Your dentist will talk you through both options at your consultation and recommend the one that suits your teeth and the result you want.

Top-up syringes
We suggest topping up for a few nights after each hygiene clean, when your teeth are at their cleanest and most receptive. Under GDC rules, top-ups must be prescribed by your dentist following a recent visit. Enlighten £79, Boutique £39.

Lost or worn out your whitening trays? We can make you a new set, shaped to your teeth as they are now, for £195 per arch.

Before you whiten
Natural teeth only
Whitening lightens natural teeth, not crowns, veneers or fillings. If you have them at the front, we’ll talk you through how to keep everything matching.
Healthy teeth first
Any decay or gum problems need treating before you whiten, so we check first. It’s one reason whitening should always be done by a dentist.
Over 18s
In the UK, professional tooth whitening is only for adults, and only a dentist can provide it.
Sensitivity
Some people notice a little sensitivity while whitening. It’s usually mild and passes, and Enlighten is formulated to keep it to a minimum.

Why shop-bought whitening doesn’t compare
“Shop kits work just as well”
By law, whitening products sold over the counter in the UK can contain no more than 0.1% hydrogen peroxide. Dentists can prescribe gels of up to 6%, as much as 60 times stronger, which is why professional whitening makes a real difference and shop kits rarely do.
“Whitening toothpaste whitens teeth”
Whitening toothpastes can polish away some surface stains, but they don’t change the natural colour of your teeth the way professional whitening gel does.
“Whitening damages your enamel”
Prescribed and supervised by a dentist, with trays made for your teeth, professional whitening is safe for your enamel. Any sensitivity is usually mild and temporary.

What is B1?
Dentists compare tooth colour with a shade guide, and B1 is the lightest natural shade on it. Enlighten guarantees your teeth will reach B1.
Does the B1 guarantee apply if I drink coffee or red wine, or smoke?
Yes. Enlighten guarantees B1 whatever your diet or lifestyle, including coffee, tea, red wine and smoking, as long as you follow your whitening plan.
Will whitening make my teeth sensitive?
Some people notice mild, short-lived sensitivity. Enlighten is specially formulated to keep sensitivity to a minimum, and we’ll advise you on what to do if you feel any.
What’s the difference between Enlighten and Boutique?
