We’re one of the only dental practices in London accredited by the Living Wage Foundation. Every member of our team is paid the London Living Wage or higher.
Why we chose it
When we took over the practice, we wanted to build a place our neighbours would love coming to. That starts with the people who look after them.
The people who care for our patients should be able to afford to live in the city they work in.
So we became an accredited Living Wage Employer. It’s voluntary: nobody requires a dental practice to do it. For a family business like ours, it simply felt like the right thing to do.
What it means
The real Living Wage is the only UK wage rate independently calculated based on the cost of living, and it’s set higher in London, where living costs are higher. It’s currently around 16% more than the government’s minimum wage, the National Living Wage.
As an accredited employer, everyone who works at Pearly Whites is paid the London Living Wage or higher, including contracted workers, and pay rises every year when the Living Wage Foundation announces the new rate.
