Is it right for you?

Who full arch implants are for

Missing most of your teeth

If you’ve lost most or all of the teeth in your upper or lower jaw, All-on-X replaces them with a full, fixed set.

Failing teeth

If many of your teeth are loose, broken or badly decayed, we can remove them and fit your new teeth, often on the same day.

Unhappy with dentures

If your dentures are loose, uncomfortable or stop you eating what you like, All-on-X gives you teeth that stay put.

Why All-on-X

The benefits of full-arch implants

Fixed, not removable

Your new teeth are fixed to your implants, so there’s nothing to take out at night and no adhesive.

Eat what you love

Bite into an apple or chew a steak with confidence, which is often difficult, if not impossible, with dentures.

Teeth in a day

Where suitable, you leave on the day of surgery with a fixed temporary bridge, so you’re never without teeth.

Taste your food

Unlike a full upper denture, an All-on-X bridge doesn’t cover the roof of your mouth.

Fewer implants

Four to six implants support a whole arch of teeth, rather than one implant for every tooth.

Protects your jawbone

Implants pass the forces of chewing into your jaw, which helps stop the bone shrinking as it does under a denture.

Your permanent bridge

Zirconia on a titanium bar

Your final teeth are made from zirconia, fixed to a titanium bar that links your implants together.

A titanium backbone

The bar is precision-milled from titanium, which is strong, light and well tolerated by the body. It holds your bridge rigid, so it doesn’t flex when you bite.

Forces shared evenly

By linking your implants, the bar spreads the forces of biting and chewing across all of them, protecting both the implants and the zirconia teeth.

Strong, natural-looking teeth

Zirconia is one of the strongest materials in dentistry, resists chipping and staining, and is shaded and shaped to look like natural teeth.

Easy to keep clean

Its smooth, glazed surface is kind to your gums and doesn’t pick up plaque or stains easily.

Your treatment

Your full arch journey

  1. Consultation

Dr Rohan examines your mouth and talks you through your options. The £75 implant consultation fee is put towards your treatment.

  2. 3D scan and planning

A 3D CT scan at a specialist imaging centre, at a preferred rate for our patients, lets us plan exactly where your implants will go.

  3. Treatment day

Any teeth that need to come out are removed, and your implants are placed, usually four to six, under local anaesthetic or with sedation if you’d prefer.

  4. Teeth in a day

Where your implants are stable enough, a fixed temporary bridge is fitted the same day, so you go home with a full set of teeth.

  5. Healing

Over about 3 to 6 months, your implants bond with the bone. You’ll start on softer foods while they heal.

  6. Your permanent bridge

Your final zirconia bridge, on a precision titanium bar, is made and fitted: a strong, natural-looking set of teeth, designed for your face and smile.

Looking after your new teeth

Keeping your All-on-X healthy

Your bridge can’t decay, but the gum and bone around your implants need looking after, just like around natural teeth.

Clean every day

Brush twice a day, and clean under your bridge and around the implants with interdental brushes or a water flosser.

Regular hygiene visits

Our hygienists clean around your implants with gentle Guided Biofilm Therapy, which is safe for implants.

Check-ups

Regular check-ups let Dr Rohan keep an eye on your implants, your bridge and the bone around them.

Questions

All-on-X FAQs

What are full arch implants (All-on-X)?

A full arch of fixed teeth supported by usually four to six implants, and sometimes as many as eight, often called All-on-X or teeth in a day. It replaces all the teeth in your upper or lower jaw.

How much do full arch implants cost?

£17,500 per arch for four to six implants, including any extractions, your temporary bridge and your permanent zirconia bridge on a titanium bar, or from as little as £402.23 a month with finance. Some cases need as many as eight implants; if you need more than six, there’s an additional charge, which your dentist will confirm.

Will I really have teeth in a day?

In most suitable cases, yes. If your implants are stable enough on the day, a fixed temporary bridge is fitted straight away, and your permanent bridge follows after healing.

How long does treatment take?

Your implants and temporary bridge can be fitted on the same day, and your permanent bridge usually about 3 to 6 months later, once the implants have bonded with the bone.

Will it hurt?

Treatment is done under local anaesthetic, and sedation with a visiting anaesthetist can be arranged if you’d prefer. Some swelling and soreness afterwards is normal and usually settles within a few days.

Am I suitable?

Most adults who are missing, or about to lose, most of their teeth can be considered. Dr Rohan will check your bone, gums and general health with a 3D scan before recommending treatment.

Which implants do you use?

Inserta implants, designed for full-arch treatment and immediate bridges.

What’s the difference between All-on-X and dentures?

All-on-X teeth are fixed to implants, so they don’t move, don’t cover the roof of your mouth and let you eat normally. Dentures are removable and rest on the gums.

How do I look after my new teeth?

Brush twice a day, clean under the bridge and around the implants every day, and keep up your hygiene visits and check-ups.

What is the permanent bridge made of?

Zirconia teeth on a precision-milled titanium bar. The bar keeps the bridge rigid and shares biting forces across your implants, and zirconia is strong, chip- and stain-resistant and natural-looking.

Can I spread the cost?

Yes, with dental finance, from as little as £402.23 a month over 60 months (14.9% APR representative). Ask us about the options at your consultation.
